About Us
Our Philosophy
Isshinryu karate is a very practical and pragmatic style of karate. The method of self defense taught in Isshinryu is highly effective and can be used by virtually any body style, age, weight, and gender. We train our hearts, our bodies, and our minds to create a strong understanding of ourselves and all that we are capable of. We observe the rules of courtesy and respect to our superiors.
Our karate school focuses on both physical fitness and character development. The Martial Arts training allows for students to get a sense of hard work through focus, discipline, and dedication while receiving physical, mental, and emotional rewards. The confidence that a student can learn through self defense classes and through martial arts training will hold with them long into adulthood.
With the age of technology, social media, and mental distress around us, the traditional values found in Karate will not be lost in the chaos.
